Bass Player/Teacher

Objective: I was teaching an electric bass lesson around 16 years ago, and I had my student play along with a song we had worked out earlier in the lesson. After playing for about 30 seconds, the student stopped playing, turned bright red, and stared bashfully looking around the room. I asked her if everything was OK, and she simply replied, “Oh, yes, everything’s OK. I just can’t believe that I’m playing bass!”

Simply put, my objective is for every student that I teach to have the above level of excitement, as well as for me to have that type of personal satisfaction from every student that passes through my studio.

Summary of
Qualifications:

I have been a professional musician (bass player) for well over fifteen years, and a music educator for over 5 years.  I have many years of “real world” performance and music business experience, have directed numerous music programs, and produced many projects and musical groups.  I have had students of all ages, levels, and styles. I perform on, as well as teach, both electric and upright basses, and am well versed in all styles and facets of music. Added to this is an extensive music education, and musical background.

I feel I can complement any music education program I am a part of.
